Away from homw

So I'm officially out of my house now for the first time ever. I moved onto campus and it's very exciting. I really like my roomate, she's super sweet. She woke up early the other day (when she didn't have class) just to show/have breakfast with me &&& she has almost all the seasons of FRIENDS!! I love it, it's always on in the background. So, so far so good. I'm about to pass out, but that's what's new with me! I'll write more later!

Updates

So I think it's obvious I'm not very good at updating this, but I AM alive! Hooray!!

So to sum up my summer...
I worked full time. I went to Sea World and actually had fun. Don't get me wrong, I love sea animals but usually I get bored there. I went to Hawaii and loved every second of it. I will move there one day. In Hawaii, I learned how to surf and went cliff diving, and swam with SEA TURTLES! This last month was probably the hardest for me. A few of my best friends moved back to Mexico City, MX due to expired visas. They've been like my second family for the past 5 years of my life so it was really hard to realize that this was our last summer living together. So this summer was definitely one of the best ones.

This summer has been super busy for me and nevertheless, this semester doesn't seem any easier. I just started school at PLNU, and I absolutely love it!! It's amazing. I'm so blessed to be able to have ocean views in my classrooms. It's a bit distracting at times, but it's worth it. The people are super nice on campus and friendly, which is a big change from the community college I started at. The professors are very personable and actually invite you to have lunch with them and carry on a " normal" noneducational conversation with you. I go to chapel at least 3 times a week and it just blows my mind to see how many people join as one body, one community to worship. On top of being a transfer I'm also a commuter with makes me a double odd ball. It's alot harder to meet people because they all live in the dorm rooms and see eachother more often. I have the chance to move in on campus and I went to see the rooms today. I was excited at first but now I'm not sure. I feel bad asking my parents to spend more money on my college, seeing that we'll be in debt for the next 30 years! WoW is school expensive!!

Along with school five times a week, i'll be working 30 hours a week. So I'm guessing I wont have too much of a social life. The school wanted me to sing for them but it was either take Sundays off work to sing at Midway or take mondays off to sing at PLNU and of course I chose Sundays! I'm really excited to sing with everyone again (esp. the Semsens). So i'm looking forward to being a busy bee this semester :)

Ummm

WoW! So it's been a while since I wrote, Daniel so kindly reminded me . I was super busy with finishing finals, but now summer is here, although the weather doesn't show it . One of the biggest blessings that ya'll may not know about is my acceptance letter to PLNU. Hooray! I'm sooo excited, like I'm actually excited for fall semester at school, and that rarely happens so praise the Lord!! I really do feel like this is going to be a great year for me. The Lord just keeps dropping blessings on me and I feel happier than usual! It's so exciting.

I made a lady cry...

This is not good. I was getting my nails done at a new salon (new for me) and I think the lady that was doing my nails was new. For those men who have no idea what they do there...one of the features is cutting your cuticles. She cut VERY wrong...and made the side of my finger bleed! After the 2nd time I was like umm ok "I'm in pain, can you please be careful" and she did fine on the next couple of nails and then made me bleed again. So I couldn't be quiet anymore...I mean I was bleeding....OUCH! So I kindly asked if someone else could finish me up because I was in to much pain and the manager was like "sure, i'll finish you in a second" and the other lady walked away CRYING! I felt sooo bad, but so did my poor little fingers!

On another note...

I'm currently getting ready for our huge half-yearly sale that starts on Wednesday! Which means I work for a full week straight, and with lots of impatient people! The only good part about this is I'll have alot more business. I'm also really excited for our summer concert! Everyone must attend...it's going to be amazing! I'm even more excited about making a Nertz night with some yummy snacks.

I can't believe I'm even up right now..i've been up since 7am! Ew..i'm so not a morning person. Praise the Lord that I don't start work until 1:30pm tomorrow . That's a little update on me for now. I shall write more often now that I'm not in school. Goodnight...for anyone who is actually awake right now (prob. daniel) haha!

cereal saves the day

So I just got back from choir rehearsal not too long ago and it was amazing. The new music that we're doing is incredible. I can honestly say that I like, if not love every song  ! I'm so grateful that the Semsens are traveling out here every week just to help us out and sing with us. We truly are blessed. Another exciting thing about choir tonight was that Mike J. came to sing with us too. It's been way too long since i've last seen him so it was exciting!! He also got my hopes up and crushed em'. I assumed he would be down weekly...but no, it was a one time thing. No more assuming for me.

Last night I stayed up until about 1am doing Anthro homework, and as usual I snoozed my alarm clock 297164 times. So I was supposed to wake up 8:15am for my 930 class, but instead I woke up at 9AM! Oops. So I rushed out of my house and sped up the road hoping to make it in time. When I got to the campus I circled around the parking lot for about 10 min. The time now is 9:32 and my gas light keep dinging at me!! So I went to the opposite side of my class and finally found a parking that was only 1425 miles away from my class. I ran my booty as fast as I can only to find the door was locked and there was a note saying "no class today". I was so very disappointed. I stayed up late, dragged my tired self out of bed and rushed for NOTHING. It's just so frustrating to get up and drive 25 min. to school and not go to school. At this point I'm not so tired anymore (running a marathon will do that to you). So I got gas and went to the grocery store to buy cereal. That usually turns my day around. YUMM the exact one I wanted was buy one get one 1/2 off & so I did. After eating 2 bowls the day was better . I even got to do some shopping with the fam.

On another note...

I was up in LA all day Sunday doing something I've never done before. I went to my very first NBA game!! Some coworkers of mine and their friends went to the Clippers and Kings game. Those guys are huge! They made one of their 6'1 players look like a midget. So we had VIP tickets and sat behind the Clippers bench with our own waitress and everything. I get really into sporting events so I had a blast even if they are 2 of the bottom teams. After the game we went shopping in the fashion district. I must admit, at first I was afraid walking in downtown LA (a bit ghetto). The place was cool though. It was blocks and blocks of an open air market where you can get pretty much anything for cheap prices. So that was an interesting loooong day.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow because Wed. for me are always blah. I'll make sure to have some cereal before leaving the house and perhaps all will be well haha.

home sweet home

So I'm back. aaaaaaand I had an absolute blast. I wish I was still there. 88 degrees everyday and the sun didn't even start to set until 8pm. BEAutiful. The week pretty much consisted of the same thing everyday. Waking about 11 and having breakfast with everyone. Then going down to the pool until about 5, coming back up for lunch until 6 then shower and nap time until 10 then getting cute to go out to dinner. It was so relaxing and stress-free. I didn't get as dark as I wanted to but I still gained some color-YES, it's possible ok. Now it's back to reality and I can't wait unitl school is over with. I have a fantabuolous easter though  my sister came down for the weekend and that is always nice. I'm still waiting to hear back from some schools. I applied to a couple more...cal baptist being another one. We'll see where the Lord leads me. On another note my car keeps getting little scuffs from careless people that open their doors too hard in parking lots. I just noticed a scratch on the back bumper and I nearly cried. If anyone messes up my car it should be me, it's not fair. I do not like those hit-and run people, I don't. I just might start parking 984728 miles away from all other cars JUST to avoid damage. I've yet to sleep in since I've returned and I'm slowing passing out. I could go on for hours about my trip...but I also  don't want to put you to sleep either.

love me
